My Kroger Shopping Trip

(You can click on the picture to see it better)
This is what I purchased at Kroger last night (Plus, three things from Target).  Pretty much all these prices are still available through next week- at least.  You can check out my Kroger Match-ups here to see almost all of the links to the actual coupons that I used.  In all, I spent a total of $18.47 (not including the couple dollars that I paid in tax) for everthing that I purchased at Kroger.  According to my receipt I saved:  $180.75.  Honestly, it doesn't hardly seem possible that everthing I got from Kroger would have been $199.22 without sales and coupons- but Kroger's regular prices are pretty high on some things.  For instance my receipt says that each can of the campbell's cream of chicken soups would have been $1.39.  I also spent $5.50 on a couple things at Target- (You can find that breakdown at the very bottom).

My Grocery Shopping This Week

This picture shows some of the groceries that I picked up this week.  In all, I spent around $25 at Walmart this week.  I was really excited about getting the Hidden Valley Salad Kits for free- plus .25 overage each! (My Walmart had these on clearance for only .75 each and I used a bunch of $1/1 coupons).  I also got stocked up on Muir Glen Organic Tomatoes for only .22- .47 per can.

My Grocery Shopping This Week

This is what I bought this week at Walmart and Meijer.   For these items, I spent a total of right about $34.00.  Right after I took this picture, my husband went to County Market and picked up a lime, and cilantro for some fresh salsa, as well as 2 packages of Homestyle Flour tortillas for a total of right about $4.00.  So a total of $38.00 for this week.  I am planning on trying to incorporate more natural and organic foods after this with the extra money I have left in my grocery budget, from the last couple weeks.  I am not sure if I will buy some items at the health food store or what.  I know I need some more whole wheat flour, and I am thinking about getting bulk wheat kernels.  I have access to a wheat grinder and I am thinking about trying that as it should be much healthier for my family.  I am ready to make some big changes to my family's diet and I am trying to brainstorm right now what would be the easiest (and least expensive) things that I could do to reap the most benefits.  I have a large enough stockpile right now that I could start trying to incorporate more organic foods into our diet without increasing my budget for a while.  My only problem is that my local stores don't carry hardly any organic products :(  Of course I'll let you know what I end up doing.  Oh, yeah, my grandma gave me all the wonderful pecans in the picture at the very bottom as well :)  I can't wait to make a delicious oatmeal pecan pie for Thanksgiving.  It is  somewhat healthier(is it possible for a pecan pie to be healthy?  Lol) than traditional pecan pie and it is sooo good!  I calculated up that without any coupons or price-matching all the groceries I bought this week would have cost $110.60, so I saved about 66%.
Here's what I bought(Walmart):
  • 2 avocados price matched to .49 each with Aldi
  • 2 Broccoli crowns price matched to .88/lb. with My Store
  • 1 lb. bag of Earthbound Farm Organic carrots .88 - .75/1 manufacturer coupon = .13
  • (2) 3 lb. bags of Jonathon apples price matched to $1.39 per bag with Schnucks (I am looking forward to lots of fresh carrot/apple juice this week!)
  • 1 pork loin price matched to $1.79/lb. with Kroger (this actually wasn't price matched right- it should of been about $3 less and I am planning on getting my money back the next time I go to Walmart)
  • Garlic bulb= .29
  • 2 bottles of Heinz vinegar $1.12 each and I used (2) .50/1 manufacturer coupons = .62 each
  • 4 packages of Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Pasta price matched to .99 each with Meijer- (4) $1/1 manufacturer coupons (adjusted down to .99 each)= free
  • 3 packages of Barilla pasta price matched to .99 with County Market- (3) $1/1 manufacturer coupons= free
  • 24 oz. Prairie Farms Cottage Cheese price matched to $1.50 with IGA
  • (4) 16 oz. rolls of Jimmy Dean sausage price matched to $1.50 each with Meijer- (4) $1/1 manufacturer coupons = .50 each (I am going to freeze all of this and it should last us about 6 months or more- we really don't eat that much sausage!)
  • 2 boxes of Jimmy Dean Fully Cooked sausage price matched to $1.50 each- (2) $1/1 manufacturer coupons = .50 each
  • 1 bottle of Coffee-mate price matched to $1.50 with IGA - $1.50/1 manufacturer coupon= free
  • 1 family size bag of Tostitos chips price matched to $2.99 with IGA
  • 1 box of New York Brand breadsticks price matched to $1.79 with IGA- $1/1 manufacturer coupon = free
  • 4 California Pizza kitchen pizzas for one price matched to $2.50 each with Meijer- (4) $2/1 manufacturer coupons = .50 each
  • 6 jars of Prego Pasta sauce price matched to $1.50 each with Meijer- (3) $1/2 manufacturer coupons = $1 each
  • 4 boxes of Triscuits price matched to $1.88 each with My Store- $3/4 manufacturer coupon = $1.13 each
Meijer:

  • 2 bottles of Pompeian Olive Oil for $2.99 each- (2) $2.00/1 Meijer mealbox coupons - (2) $1/1 manufacturer coupons = free
  • 2 bags of Snikiddy Gluten free cheese puffs for $2 each - (2) manufacturer coupons for free items= free
  • Grapes:  a little more than 2 pounds @ .89/lb. = $1.83
If you have any questions about the exact coupons that I used just leave a comment and I will be happy to let you know!  It is just taking me waaay too long to link up every coupon that I use.

CVS Trip

I actually made this trip to CVS on Saturday, to take advantage of the ECB deal available on the milk.

I bought:
1 Gallon of Milk for $2.79 with a $1 ECB back
6 packages of Mentos gum on sale Buy 1 Get 1 free at $1.79 (FYI:  This gum is really good and it is sugar free too :) )

I used 6 $1/1 coupons from the 10-3 S.S. for the Mentos gum- I asked the cashier before giving her the coupons and she said that was fine even though they were Buy 1 Get 1 Free and the register did not beep- it took off the whole $6 for a total of .63 overage for the milk :)  I ended up paying $2.16 and getting back a $1 ECB for the milk- so only $1.16 for a gallon of milk!

My Grocery Shopping This Week

I have been to the store waaaaay too many times this week.  There were just so many great stock up prices that I couldn't pass up.  Hopefully, I won't have to do much grocery shopping for the next couple weeks, except for fresh produce and dairy.  All totaled I paid a total of $44.41 for everything in all the following pictures ($42.41 if you count the $2 in ECBs that I made at CVS with the transaction at the very bottom)

I calculated up that if I had not used any coupons or ad-matched anything, everything would have cost right around $168.00 (I calculate using sale prices- I don't go by the regular store price).  This is a savings of $123.59 or 73.6%.  The first three pictures below are of three Shopping trips that I did at County Market this week (early in the week I also bought 1 package of the store brand saltine crackers for .77 because my husband was sick):
I already broke down the first transaction here, and for time purposes, I am not going to totally break down each of these because I basically used the same coupons for each transaction.  My total for this transaction was:  $3.35 and I got a $1.50 OYNO coupon for the granola.

* In case you are wondering how I got the two coupons for free Tide, I truly did not send them a nasty email.  I had an issue with one of their large bottles, it ended up cracking open and spilling detergent out.  I simply emailed them telling them that, and they sent 2 coupons for free Tide and one coupon for $2/1 any Tide.

    Shopping Trip 9-30 at CVS

I wrote this last night but I couldn't get my picture to load correctly, it keep going sideways, so I took another picture today.
Today I went by my local CVS and they finally had the Oral-B re-chargeable toothbrushes in stock.  I ended up getting two, but we had to open the other one and check it out.  We have never owned a powered toothbrush before.  It is too bad the refills have to be so pricey!  Oh, yah, one warning if you have never had a toothbrush like this either-  don't turn it on if it has toothpaste on it until after you put it in your mouth.  LOL.  Anyway, Here's how this deal worked:

    I bought 1 Oral-B re-chargeable on sale for $23
    I used a $10/1 coupon from the 9-26 P&G insert
My Subtotal after coupon was:  $13 and I paid with a $2.99 ECB, and a $9.99 ECB that I had.  Pretty much all I had to pay was tax, and I got back $13 in ECBs.

Next I purchased my second on and I used another $10/1 coupon and I paid with the $13 in ECBs that I got from the first one.  All I had to pay was tax again, and I got back another $13 ECB.

My CVS Trip Today: Free Reach and Cheap Olay

    Shopping Trip 9-21 CVS

Today I went CVS to pick up the free Revlon lipstick and the more than free deodorant.  Since there was hardly anyone there, and no one else in line, I did three transactions in order to pay less out of pocket.  I asked the cashier if I could get the Revlon super Lustrous Lip gloss, since I am not much of a lipstick person and they said that I could use the $2.00 off coupon on them, and they scanned just fine.
    Transaction #1:

1 Revlon Lip gloss at $6.99
I used the $2.00/1 Revlon super Lustrous coupon from HERE (facebook offer)
My subtotal was $4.99 and I used a $4.99 ECB that I had from a previous week to pay for it.
I got back a $5.00 ECB for the Revlon

    Transaction #2:

1 Revlon Lip gloss at $6.99
I used the $2.00/1 Revlon super Lustrous coupon from HERE (facebook offer)
My subtotal was $4.99 and I used the $5.00 ECB that I received in Transaction #1 to pay for it.
I got back a $5.00 ECB for the Revlon

    Transaction #3:

3 Right Guard Total Defense Deodorant $2.99 each
I used (1) $3.00/2 coupon from HERE and (1) $1.50/1 coupon from HERE (facebook offer)
1 Tropicana orange juice on sale for $3.00
My subtotal after coupons was $7.47 and I used the $5.00 ECB that I received in Transaction #2 and a $1.00 ECB from a previous week.  So I paid $1.47 and I got back a $6.00 ECB for the Right Guard ($2.00 for each one I bought).

Meijer Trip: Saved $121.73, paid $20.57!

(You can click on the picture to enlarge if you would like)
Today we went up to Champaign, Illinois to have an early birthday dinner for my husband, and of course I had to drag my hubby and son over to Meijer so that I could pick up some of the great deals available right now.  I had a really good trip with 85.5% savings!  Everything that I purchased above would have been $142.32 without sales, coupons, and checkout coupons.  I spent a total of $20.57 for everything above(not counting about $4.00 in tax).  That means I saved $121.73 or 85.5%.  To do this, I did do 4 transactions( I did 2 transactions, took the stuff to my car and came in and did 2 more) in order to use up all the checkout coupons, because I do not live close enough to go back to Meijer before they expire.
    Here's How I did this:
    Transaction #1:

1 bag of Snikiddy natural cheese puffs 2.89
    - 2.89 for free item printable coupon available a couple months ago

6 Green Giant Boxed Veggies .99 ea.
-(6) .50/1 printable coupons from HERE

6 boxes of Ziploc bags 1.86 ea.
    -(3) 1.50/2 printable coupons
    -(3) 1.50/2 Meijer Mealbox coupons

Subtotal:  $5.10 and I got back:  (2) $2 oyno coupons for Green Giant and (2) $2 oyno coupons for Ziploc

    Transaction #2

    7 Kraft chunk cheese 3/$5
    3 Kraft Singles 3/$5
-(2) $5/5 printable coupon from HERE

6 boxes of Ziploc 1.50 ea.
    -(3) 1.50/2 printable coupons
    -(3) 1.50/2 Meijer Mealbox coupons

Subtotal:  $6.67 I used (2) $2 oyno coupons that I got from the Green Giant from trans #1.  I paid $2.67 and I got back:  $5 oyno coupon from buying the cheese and (2) $2 oyno coupons from the Ziploc

    Transaction #3:

6 boxes of Ziploc bags 1.86 ea.
    -(3) 1.50/2 printable coupons
    -(3) 1.50/2 Meijer Mealbox coupons

1 bag of Snikiddy natural cheese puffs 2.89
    - 2.89 for free item printable coupon available a couple months ago

4 boxes of Barilla whole grain pasta .99 ea.
    -(2) $1/2 coupons from HERE
    - $1/4 Meijer Mealbox coupon

Subtotal:  $1.74 and I got back:  (2) $2 oyno coupons for buying the Ziploc

    Transaction #4:

    1 Neutrogena Cleanser $7.49

2 Nivea Lip balms .99 ea.
    - $2/2 coupon from HERE (took off $1.98 total)

    2 Kellogg's Frosted Mini Wheats 3.85 each
-(2) Free item coupons from emailing company (something was going on with these coupons and I think the cashier might have taken a little extra off, but it is hard to decipher this receipt)

4 bottles of Juicy Juice 2.00 ea.
    - $3.00 for Meijer promotion for buying 2 Kellogg's cereals and 2 Juicy Juice
    - $2/4 coupon from HERE
    -$2/4 Meijer Mealbox coupon

1 package of Apple and Eve Fruitables 2.88
    - $1/1 coupon received by emailing company

    4.55 lbs. of Organic Bananas @ .59/lb. = 2.68 total

1 bag of Dole Salad .99

2 large boxes of Nesquick 2.74 ea.
    -(2) $1.25/1 coupons from HERE
    -$1/2 Meijer Mealbox coupon

2 Tubs of Maxwell house Coffee 6.99 ea.
    -$1/2 coupon from HERE

Subtotal:  $28.06 I used:  (2) $2 oyno coupons from Ziploc in Trans #1, $5 oyno coupon from cheese in Trans #2, (2) $2 oyno coupons from Ziploc in Trans #2, (2) $2 oyno coupons from Ziploc in Trans #3.
All totaled, I used $17 in oyno coupons on this transaction and I ended up paying: $11.06

If we hadn't desperately needed the $7.49 face wash from Trans #4 I would have only paid $13.08 for everything in the picture above!

*oyno stands for On Your Next Order
    * no, I did not clear out the shelves of Ziploc although there were already quite a few gone.
The Meijer Mealbox coupons that I used to make these a money maker with the checkout coupons, expired the day of this transaction 9-17 but if you have access to multiple computers to print off more of the $1.50/2 coupons from HERE, you can still get the Ziplocs for .47 ea. if you buy 6.  If your store has the Ziplocs that are on rollback for $1.50 each (the 50 ct. sandwich bags or 50 ct. snack bags) then they will only be .08 per box.
    Here's How this works:
    Buy 6 Boxes of Ziploc Bags @ 1.50 ea. = $9.00
Use (3) $1.50/2 printable coupons from HERE
Pay:  $4.50 and get back (2) $2 oyno coupons
Net Price after Checkout coupons= .50 for 6 boxes or .08 ea.!

If you have any questions about how all this works, please leave a comment and I will answer as best as I can.
