I have decided to stop blogging.  I have really enjoyed it and wish that I had the time to continue with this blog, but right now in my life, I know that the right choice is to stop.  I have been blessed with the opportunity right now to be home with my son, and I want to savor every moment of it.

My husband just reminded me the other day that someday, before we know it, my son won't want to spend time with us anymore and it hit me that I have to be thinking about what is most important to me in life.  My job right now is to train and teach my child and I haven't been making that a priority since I started blogging.  Every day, I have felt guilty telling my child "no, I can't do that right now, I'm busy on the computer".  After making the decision to stop blogging earlier today, I have already felt a burden lifted off of my shoulders and have so much more peace.  I have dreams and goals in my life that recently have had to be put on the back-burner, and stopping blogging will give me the time to begin pursuing some of them.

Thank you all for the support and encouragement that you have given me!  I wish the best for you all!

My Kroger Shopping Trip

This is what I purchased at Kroger last night (Plus, three things from Target).  Pretty much all these prices are still available through next week- at least.  You can check out my Kroger Match-ups here to see almost all of the links to the actual coupons that I used.  In all, I spent a total of $18.47 (not including the couple dollars that I paid in tax) for everthing that I purchased at Kroger.  According to my receipt I saved:  $180.75.  Honestly, it doesn't hardly seem possible that everthing I got from Kroger would have been $199.22 without sales and coupons- but Kroger's regular prices are pretty high on some things.  For instance my receipt says that each can of the campbell's cream of chicken soups would have been $1.39.  I also spent $5.50 on a couple things at Target- (You can find that breakdown at the very bottom).   

Here's what I got at Kroger:

• 30 bottles of Honest Organic Tea/ Honest Organic Ade.  I used (30) .50/1 manufacturer coupons = .25 overage for each after doubles.  I am not buying my husband soda for work anymore so these will be great for him to take to drink instead.
• 4 Kroger re-usable shopping bags at .99 each.  I used 4 tear-pad coupons to get them all for 4.  It was a store coupon- buy 4 Honest teas or ades and get a free bag.
• 10 propel at .49 each after mega event.  I used (4) buy 1 get 1 free coupons (deducted $1.29 each)= all for free
• 9 cartons of Imagine Organic chicken and vegetable broth at $1.99 each after mega event.  I used (3) $3/3 hang tags that I found= .99 each
• 4 boxes of Stretch island or Fruitibu fruit snacks at $3.99 each.  I used 2 buy one get one coupons from Facebook= $2 each
• 1 bottle of Bragg's Organic Apple Cider Vinegar on sale for $4.69
• 1 can of Muir Glen Organic Tomato paste for .99.  I used 1 .75/1 previously available printable coupon.
• 2 bags of Ricola cough drops at .49 after mega event.  I used (1) $1/2 manufacturer coupon= both free.
• 4 cans of Nestle carnation evaportated milk at .69 each after mega event.  I used (2) .50/2 manufacturer coupons= .19 each after doubles.
• 4 boxes of Quaker instant oatmeal for $2.19 each after mega event.  I used (4) $2/1 previously available printable coupons= .19 each
• 6 cans of Campbell's cream of chicken and mushroom soup at .49 each after mega event.  I used (2) $1.50/3 printable coupons and 1 E-coupon for $1.50 came off as well= $1.50 overage
• 2 bags of Ronzoni Healthy harvest pasta for .69 each after mega event.  I used $1/2 printable coupon and a $1/2 e-coupon came off as well= .31 overage each
• 2 containers of multi-grain pringles on sale for .99 each after mega event.  I used $1/2 coupon from 10-31 P&G insert and a $1/2 e-coupon= both free
• Tide stain release for $7.49.  I used $3/1 manufacturer coupon and $3/1 e-coupon= $1.49
• 4 cans of Campbell's Chunky soup at .99 each after mega event.  I used (4) .50/1 printable coupons= all for free
• 2 cans of Campbell's select harvest soup at .99 each after mega event.  I used 1 .50/2 manufacturer coupon and 1 .50/2 e-coupon=.25 each
• French's french fried onions for $2.99.  I used a .50/1 printable coupon= $1.99
• 3 Keebler Ready crusts for $1.19 after mega event.  I used a $1/3 Printable coupon= .85 each
• 1 pampers baby wipes for $1.99.  A $1/1 e-coupon came off my card= .99
• 2 packs of Pampers Kandoo wipes at $1.79 each.  I used 2 $1/1 manufacturer coupons= .79 each
• 2 boxes of Advil at $2.50 after mega event.  I used (2) coupons for free items (deducted $3.99 each)= $1.49 overage each

Target:

• 3 bottles of 7th generation spray cleaner (There are only 2 in the picture because one already busted open in my car and leaked everywhere :( ) at $2.99 each.  I used (3) $1/1 Target coupons + (3) $1/1 manufacturer coupons= .99 each
• 1 box of Tazo Organic tea bags on sale for $3.28.  I used a .75/1 Target coupon that was previously available= $2.53

Walgreens: Free Toothbrushes And Floss!

Starting next week, Walgreens has Reach Floss AND Toothbrushes on sale for only .99 each.  Go here to print off a coupon for $1/1 Reach Floss and $1/1 Reach Toothbrush, and get them for free!   You may want to print off these coupons now, as they might be gone by next week.

The great thing about this deal?  I don't think it involves a Register Reward to get this deal- which means you could also just Ad-match this price at Walmart, if you did not want to go to Walgreens.

Kroger: Pampers Wipes Only .99

I know that I posted this deal in the my regular Kroger match-ups but I decided to post about it separately, because I think it's a good deal if you need some wipes!

Right now Kroger has Pampers Wipes on sale for $1.99.  There is a $1/1 e-coupon available here, that makes them only .99.  I like that you don't have to have a certain newspaper coupon or anything to be able to get this deal!

Another Pamper wipes deal:  Kroger also has Pampers Kandoo wipes in the soft pack for only $1.79- regular price.  Use the $1/1 Kando coupon from the 10-17 P&G insert (I think) to get them for only .79 per pack.

Kroger Updates!

Well, we went to Kroger last night and I had a chance to check the prices on a few things-  since I had my husband and 4-year-old with me, I wasn't able to check as many prices as I would have liked, but I do have a couple updates for you:

• I did find the Keebler Ready crusts to be $1.19 with the Mega Event like I mentioned here.  If you use the coupon I told you about here, you can get them for only .85 each!
• I did see that the Hormel Chili was included in the sale- but somehow I didn't get around to checking if the Hormel Chili Masters chili- specifically was included.  My store had the Hormel priced at .84 I believe after Mega Event Pricing.
• If you live in my area:  (Decatur, IL Kroger strores)  I did find the Ronzoni Garden delight pasta to be available.  It is only .69 after mega event discounts!  I could not find the Ronzoni Quick Cook Pasta available at the store I went to- but all the other Ronzoni- except the plus variety was only .69 after the mega event!  This makes for a great deal on pasta!  You can go here to find printable Coupons for this deal.
• Honest Tea- I found a display at my store with a Tear-pad of black and white coupons on it for buy 4 Honest Tea and get a free Reusable Kroger shopping bag!  You may want to keep an eye out for this at your store!  How awesome?  Free Organic Tea- and a free re-usable shopping bag too!
• I found hang tags on some products from Spectrum naturals (I think- I believe it was olive oil) that were for $3 off any 3 products from Spectrum naturals, Imagine, and a couple other brands-  If you find these- you can use them to get the Imagine organic broth for only .99 each after mega even pricing.
• I had no problem with multiples of the Honest tea coupons doubling.  They made for .25 overage each after doubles- the Honest Tea is .75 each after mega event discounts- the coupons double to $1 off each.  
• Another bonus- The B1G1 propel coupon takes off $1.29 each!  That makes for 2 free propel + .31 overage per coupon!  For some reason with how the computers at Kroger work- they usually take off the full-item price when you have a coupon for buy 1 get 1 or for a free product
• The Pringles Multi-Grain are included in the Mega Event- Use the $1/2 coupon from the 10-31 P&G and the $1/2 E-coupon here (if your store will allow that) to get two for free!
• The Quaker instant oatmeal is included with the Mega event for $2.19- if you still have the previously available $2/1 Printable Coupons for this- you can get boxes for only .19 each!
• Family-Size Jello gelatin or pudding is included in the Mega Event for .79 per box.  If you received the .50/2 coupon in the 10-17 S.S., you can get these for .29 per box with doubles!
• Playtex Living Gloves are on sale for $1 with the Mega Event- use the $1/1 coupon from the 10-03 S.S. insert, to get them for free!
• If you want to get in on these deals- don't worry, you really don't need to rush- Kroger normally runs their Mega Events for 2 weeks in a row- so you should have plenty of time.
• Does anyone know if Kroger will write rain-checks with Mega Event prices if they are out of something?
