About

Hi, I'm Anna Scroggins, I have been married to my best friend for six years and we have been blessed with a four year old little boy. I live in Central Illinois where the double coupon deals are few and far between.  I have a bachelor's degree in Dietetics (Nutrition, if you are like most people and wondering what that is), and I love discussing any health and nutrition topics, though I still have a lot to learn. I am currently a stay at home mom, though I plan to go back to school to work on my Master's degree.

My mom got me interested in bargain shopping from an early age (actually it was more like I was embarrassed to go to the check-out line with her). Careful spending at the grocery store was always necessary when I was growing up. My mother was a stay at home mom and I have five brothers. We would almost always have two grocery carts, and sometimes purchase 15 gallons of milk at a time. However, I really learned how to bargain shop when my husband and I were both going to school full-time with a baby. We managed to avoid going into debt during this time, by being careful shoppers. Our journey still isn't over though, we still have a grocery budget of $50 per week, and I try to incorporate as many healthy and nutritious foods as possible into it.
